These terms govern ordinary use of Readerous. A specific publishing, beta, or Pass the Feather workflow may require an additional versioned agreement shown before acceptance.
Account responsibilities
- Use accurate account information and protect access to your session.
- Do not impersonate another person, evade moderation, or interfere with the service.
- You must have the legal capacity required for any rights or commercial agreement you accept.
Reading and local files
You may use Readerous to open files you lawfully possess. Readerous does not grant rights to copy, redistribute, scrape, bypass access controls, or republish another creator’s work.
Publishing
Writers retain ownership of their work and grant Readerous only the permissions needed to host, display, deliver, promote, and operate the selected experience. Writers must own or control the necessary text, images, audio, fonts, translations, and other included material.
Beta reading
Beta editions are confidential and limited to the invited or accepted reader. Access does not grant publication, training, redistribution, adaptation, or public quotation rights. Feedback should be specific, respectful, and based on the edition actually supplied.
Commercial services
Checkout, paid beta work, paid continuation licences, and creator payouts remain closed until Readerous publishes an approved payment status. No visible balance is a bank deposit, wallet, escrow account, or guaranteed earning.
Enforcement and availability
Readerous may restrict accounts or content to address security, illegality, rights complaints, harmful conduct, or service integrity. Features may change during open beta. Material agreement changes will use a new version and require acceptance where appropriate.
