Anyone may write or beta read. Paid web features open only after Stripe customer checkout and eligible Stripe Connect onboarding are configured and approved; fixed iOS consumables use Apple In-App Purchase.
Stripe-hosted Connect onboarding handles the identity, business, tax, and payout requirements for eligible writers and beta readers. People who cannot use Stripe Connect cannot enable paid monetization.

The iOS app offers three fixed Feather packs and three fixed Ask Readerous AI-credit packs through Apple In-App Purchase. It does not open Stripe, accept arbitrary top-up amounts, offer tips, or fund paid beta work. The Google Play version remains purchase-free and AI-free during its beta.
Apple processes iOS purchases and pays the developer proceeds to the active Readerous App Store Connect bank account. AI-credit proceeds belong to Readerous. Feather spending creates the separately recorded creator allocation described in the Terms. Existing transactions retain their recorded terms, and web purchases remain separate.
